T O P I C R E V I E WScorpieScorpHi,This is the synastry for a female coworker I've had issues with lately. We've decided to try and squash it--but will we based on our astrology? ScorpieScorpI'm Person 1, She's Person 2 FireandSpiritandDewHeh.I can't really help you much with the synastry, I'm afraid (other than things that you could probably work out yourself anyway - Mercury-Uranus psychicky conjunction and so on) but compelled to reply because she's pretty much me - so far as I can work out she's a few days older. What do you mean by issues? Arguments? ScorpieScorp quote:Originally posted by FireandSpiritandDew:Heh.I can't really help you much with the synastry, I'm afraid (other than things that you could probably work out yourself anyway - Mercury-Uranus psychicky conjunction and so on) but compelled to reply because she's pretty much me - so far as I can work out she's a few days older. VestasLightWell, you too definitely have some lessons together with your mars on her anti-vertex. Fated, even if it sucks. And your mars on her North Node. Mars is the God of War.However, you two have other really great synastry aspects and I wouldn't be surprised if you work out this conflict, that you'd become long term friends.Sun conjunct JupMoon conjunct SatVenus conjunct Marsand more! However, it's strange, she thinks I'm just supposed to overnight turn around and be all buddy buddy with her...almost as if she is getting obsessed with getting on my good side...is there anything in our synastry around that?If not, what are the other positive aspects you see?FireandSpiritandDewIf it helps any - using my specialist knowledge of Being A Cancer Born 1981 - her transits have been challenging over the last few years. Pluto has been opposing her sun, and squaring Uranus in her tenth, same as me... tension and difficulties in and between partnerships and roles. It's not an excuse, obviously, and if she's horrible then she's horrible, but what you've said does sound like someone who's under pressure, threatened and trying to consolidate and protect their position. I think that your Mercury's in quite a strong position, and the Mercury-Venus DW is lovely, so communicating is a strength - I guess that's good or bad, depending on what you've got to communicate!ScorpieScorp quote:Originally posted by FireandSpiritandDew:If it helps any - using my specialist knowledge of Being A Cancer Born 1981 - her transits have been challenging over the last few years. Can you tell me more about how it's been like for Cancers born in 1981? I didn't realize they are going through such a rough time (although my brother is a Cancer and he is also going through a rough period..:/ Just not born in 81)Ooof... there's a question... The best way I can describe it is with the film Bridesmaids (if you can get past the food-poisoning scene!). You know how Kirsten Wiig's character is really unhappy and struggling with a lot of things? And when you break it down, none of them are all that terrible or insurmountable, but she can't cope with them altogether. And then she makes a lot of bad decisions (some of them quite subtle) but it's completely understandable because the bad decisions are massively easier than the right ones, which are very difficult, hard to identify, take a lot of courage and are low-yield. It's kind of like that! Only without a lovely moment at the end where everything comes right. In terms of transits that I share with your colleague, my Saturn Return (five years ago now, crikey) was very very difficult, lasted a long time and led to a lot of upheaval that I'm still struggling to adjust to - At the beginning tPluto was square my nSaturn, and at the end tSaturn was conjunct my nPluto, so it was a particularly nasty one, so far as I can gather. The Pluto-Uranus Square came hot on the heels of that, my experience of this is that different bits of my life don't seem to work in harmony, each one is crowding the other and making it more difficult. I've had Uranus on my MC for what feels like months now, and it seems to bring up a lot of crisis situations at work, the sort that require you to gird up your loins, work yourself into the ground and in return for a lot of effort you find that you've managed to reduce the impact of the problem a little, rather than solving it.I'm in the (bad?) habit of thinking in terms of solar rather than natal houses - like internet astrologers do - so I tend to see Pluto as affecting my seventh, because it's opposite my Sun. From this pov (and, in fairness, it does seem to apply more closely than transits of my natal houses, which begin in Leo), she's having ongoing difficulties with her career/role and relationships.I'd keep an eye out to see if any of the following apply:- Under a lot of pressure at work, a sense of unreasonable expectations/too much responsibility/insufficient control over those areas of responsibility.- A lack of balance in relationships, the sense/fear of other people taking advantage, difficulties expressing feelings about and objections to this.- Problems at home, unbalanced/unhealthy relationships that according to all natural known laws of the universe should be good and helpful, people in her personal life behaving in unreliable and unpredictable ways. - Big changes over the last five years that she has struggled to adjust to, possibly some big 'crisis' event that she hasn't recovered from. My brother is also struggling a lot (although less acutely, I think), he's a Cancer/Leo cusp. In fact, now I come to think of it, so are Cancer colleagues, one of mine had a breakdown last year, others are very much in a rut. Hope that helps! I have to say that I'm glad we're in different continents, because when I first saw the chart I thought: "Oh no! Who've I offended at work?"FireandSpiritandDew quote:Originally posted by ScorpieScorp:How should I interpret all those squares to the moon?I don't think they're as bad as they could be, tbh - Sun sq moon is challenging but the others are wide, Moon-moon is practically a bi-novile.ScorpieScorp quote:Originally posted by FireandSpiritandDew: Ooof... there's a question... I'm fine, though - it's nothing that, individually, I couldn't deal with, it's just when everything comes at once and keeps coming!I think - and I say this as one - that Cancer Suns can be quite annoying. I seem to find it difficult to express emotion effectively (have the same Mars/Merc placements also). So I can imagine that if I'd been unfair to a colleague and was called out for it, I'd either respond by really distancing myself, or by being obsequious and creepy, she's obviously reacted strongly to you (which is quite flattering if you look at it right, I suppose) so it might be hard for her to strike a balance. None of this is your problem, though, of course - she has to learn to deal with things appropriately and fairly.I think that you've got loads to work with between you in terms of helpful placements, but I'd avoid anything that looks like being a power-game, my advice would be to be smiley and nice and kind but keep a distance, I'm sure she'll settle down once she feels like you aren't any kind of a threat. Then hopefully her nicer qualities will come out! One thing I know I'm supposed to do as a Libran NN is to learn to work with others more harmoniously (event though this is not the best example of it given she started it.. )...but I always remember the lessons of NN Libra I am supposed to learn during conflicts.
And yes, I have a Cancer brother--sigh, and he is so moody and can be withdrawn...
I will be smiley and nice and wait for her to stop feeling threatened...
(As much as being this way is HARD for Scorpio )

Leo rising though (like all the best people ), you can do it!
If it helps, think of it as a very subtle and hassle-free way of not-engaging.
